You, Me and the Rain

Constant showers
From insistent sky,
Play games in my head.
The catchy rhythms
Of the flirting drops,
Insist I shouldn't be alone in bed.
The downpour conveys
To the eager earth,
Subliminal messages
Breeding lust
In this solitary
Lifeform's hormone flooded brain,
To initiate rebirth
Bringing forth new life
Of the dust.
Hugging pillows
No longer damming
My torrential urges.
Bursts of desire seek
Pleasure from the sheets.
Wanting you floods me in tidal surges,
So I fluff and stretch
Snuggle up and sigh.
Now I am not so unsure
Love and rain
Are not one and the same
Tempest in different forms,
It’s clear as a cloudless sky,
The two bring pleasure,
Both bring pain.
