But despite Ross’ diva drama, the night’s show ended on a high with Trinidad-born singer, Billy Ocean, thrilling fans with an energetic performance that included all of his past favourites. It was up to Ocean to save the night and he did as he brought back mega hits like `Suddenly,` `Get out of my Dreams,` and `Lover Boy` among others The dreadlocked artist found favour with the largely Jamaican crowd who begged for an encore after which he brought up three beauties from the audience to close his set with the phenomenal, `Caribbean Queen.’ Christopher Martin, Nikki Yonofsky, Mary Mary, Chalice and Koko Taylor also added their soulful voices to the show, with many patrons greeting the performance of both Taylor and Yonofsky, especially, with delight. Drastic improvements to parking and venue access were also high on the list of pluses for patrons at the Festival presented by Olint TCI. And with minimal congestion, patrons were able to access and depart the venue in an orderly and timely manner.
