Broward County, Fl - The New York Symphony Reggae Strings - comprising some of the most notable musicians from Jamaica, New York and Florida who have performed with Mary J Blige, Barry Manilow, Barbara Streisand and Ricky Martin - will provide accompaniment for Freddie McGregor and John Holt at the Broward Centre on April 20.
This evening of elegance unfolds as County Line Chiropractic Centres present Reggae Symphony featuring reggae pioneer John Holt, OD and Grammy-nominated, Reggae ambassador Freddie McGregor, OD. Providing additional support will be the inimitable Lloyd Parkes and We the People Band. John Holt and Freddie McGregor will perform chart-topping hits like The Tide is High, Mr Bojangles, Love You to Want Me, I Was Born a Winner, Big Ship, Push Come to Shove and many more.
Theatre doors for this black tie event open at 6:00 pm and a VIP reception to follow performance.
Produced by Big Ship Music Inc & Riddims Marketing Inc, under the patronage of Ricardo Allicock, Consul General of Jamaica (South-east USA), Reggae Symphony has evolved out of a sold out 2001 premiere at the London Apollo with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and combines two of Jamaica's greatest voices with the sound of classical music to create the perfect fusion.
