From Louis march of ACHA-Toronto
I just received some more pics and this video footage of the Africentric School Open House, taken by a Brother from Stolen From Africa.....a youth community initiative that is making a positive contribution for young people in our community. Take a look....he does an excellent job of capturing the energy and excitement of this historic event. Feel free to share this with your associates and networks.
Also....more info will follow, but make a note for Saturday, September 12th when registration for the 2009-2010 ACHA programming year, will take place at Centennial College, Progress Campus from 1:00pm to 4:00pm in the building C cafeteria www.achaonline.org

Hello ACHA members and supporters,
Thanks to each and everyone of you that attended the Africentric School Open House yesterday. An incredible showcase of quality and committment to the pursuit of excellence by Principal Hyman-Aman, and her team. More incredible, was the overwhelming support from all sectors of our community and the fact that parents were still registering their children for opening day, on Tuesday. It was an historic celebration of community determination, to address a major problem facing children in our community. Wow....and this is just the beginning. Here are a few pictures from the Open House cermonies and also, an inside look at some of the classrooms.
Lets keep the momentum going, as the Africentric School will continue to need our support and participation. Cause for all of us to celebrate.
