As guests entered the lobby lounge at the Shangri-la Hotel in Toronto, the ambiance was set for an afternoon of high fashion meets high tea. The understated elegance and architecture of the 90-seat lobby lounge contributed to an ideal atmosphere for this event. The chic urban living room was comfortable and impeccably designed, pulling together every element of sophistication. Situated in the center of the room was an Italian handcrafted Fazioli piano creating a focal point in between the two-story windows and the contemporary leather sofas. The Shangri-la Hotel invited guests to experience a lovely afternoon of relaxation and conversation over a delightful British inspired high tea.
The tea was made exclusively for the Shangri-la Hotel and was inspired by the colors of the Burberry Tartan. The service at the Shangri-la was luxurious and attentive as guests sipped the red rose petal and black vanilla bean tea and snacked on delicious Burberry inspired pastries from their patisserie. The stunning Burberry models approached each table to showcase their impeccably styled garments.

The Shangri-la Hotel brought Burberry back to its roots with a British inspired high tea. This intimate setting allowed for the models to interact with the guests, granting all fashion lovers permission to get up-close and personal with their favorite Burberry piece. The models were knowledgeable about each piece they wore; the experience was informative and impressive.
They created a personal experience with the brand as well as an exclusive look at upcoming fashion. The Chevron stripe wool cashmere jacket layered over the silk Jacquard zigzag V-neck sweater was a standout look from the collection and was impeccably styled, showcasing a black and camel quilt detailed leather tote bag. Of course, the famous Burberry trench coat was chic and classic with a modern twist that easily made it a staple piece for any fashionista’s closet. Check out the ‘Art of the Trench’ by Burberry, ‘a living document of the trench coat and the people who wear it’.
