Many health fanatics, however, are often surprised to hear me say that drinking distilled water on a regular, daily basis ispotentially dangerous.
Paavo Airola wrote about the dangers of distilled water in the 1970's when it first became a fad with the health food crowd.
Distillation is the process in which water is boiled, evaporated and the vapour condensed. Distilled water is free of dissolved minerals and, because of this, has the special property of being able to actively absorb toxic substances from the body and eliminate them. Studies validate the benefits of drinking distilled water when one is seeking to cleanse or detoxify the system for short periods of time (a few weeks at a time).
Fasting using distilled water can be dangerous because of the rapid loss of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride) and trace minerals like magnesium, deficiencies of which can cause heart beat irregularities and high blood pressure. Cooking foods in distilled water pulls the minerals out of them and lowers their nutrient value.
Distilled water is an active absorber and when it comes into contact with air, it absorbs carbon dioxide, making it acidic. The more distilled water a person drinks, the higher the body acidity becomes.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, "Distilled water, being essentially mineral-free, is very aggressive, in that it tends to dissolve substances with which it is in contact. Notably, carbon dioxide from the air is rapidly absorbed, making the water acidic and even more aggressive. Many metals are dissolved by distilled water."
The most toxic commercial beverages that people consume (i.e. cola beverages and other soft drinks) are made from distilled water. Studies have consistently shown that heavy consumers of soft drinks (with or without sugar) spill huge amounts of calcium, magnesium and other trace minerals into the urine.
The more mineral loss, the greater the risk for osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, hypothyroidism, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure and a long list of degenerative diseases generally associated with premature aging.

We actually wrote this a long time ago, for that reason we want to add some additional point at the very start of this that you will not see or hear in the Video just below…
First off, here is a quote that may seem a bit extreem at first… but honestly, think about it and investiget it a bit, from our own experiance after several years of drinking Distilled Water, we can only say, that for us… this is true:
Second, these myths that we speak about in our video and that the additional links to other Dr. and Professors and what not trained people are telling us all over and over again too. They really are myths, they are simply NOT true, we can personally vow for that after drinking distilled (and only distilled) water for years. We are also certain if you find any other individuals who do drink distilled water, they would never touch anything else again and would tell you the same! I DOESN’T drain you of your MInerals, nor does it do ANYTHING else bad to you… much the contraty… In short, that we absorb minerals from our water is one of the common taught misinformation. Minerals found in water are actually inorganic and our bodies can’t absorb these to start with.
Yes we need minerals, but minerals found in food, absorbed through the chelation process, when combined with amino acids. We obtain our minerals from food and NOT water (never have). There are lots of really good ways to improve the “energy” of your distilled water… for that again, we have written about this and provide links and information, if you are curious.
All in all, you will quickly notice that someone telling you myths like this… is either promoting some “other” filtering system or selling some high charged mineral water baught in bottles etc… as always, think about it and put 2 and 2 toghether.
Third, prior to judging, remembering what you have been told or read about distilled water, please take the time to listen and watch this short video, but then… take the time to re-educate yourselfand look into this again, follow some of the links we have on our site on this topic (they are by far not all that is out there, but it’s a start). We have come to re-publish this after all this time, becasue we have now got several years of HEALTHY experiance and feedback of drinking distilled water. We keep saying the same thing, becuase it’s about your health and sometimes we need a “kick” for somehting to sink in
