In light of the fact that he has widespread appeal at all levels of the party, he is the right person for the Deputy Chairmanship position at this time," he said. The young labourites added his move up the ranks of the party from a councilor to a Junior Minister demonstrated his tenacity, hard work and commitment to public service. The G2K recently endorsed the candidacies of Daryl Vaz for General Secretary and Mike Henry for Chairman. On Saturday, it endorsed Senators Warren Newby and Ian Murray for tow of the four Deputy General Secretary posts and Gregory Mair for Deputy Treasurer.Endorsements not fueling any internal tension - Seiveright Meanwhile, the G2K said it is not concerned that publicly announcing its preferences for several posts in the JLP's upcoming internal election, is helping to brew more tension within the party.According to Mr. Seiveright, democracy is prevailing in the races so far."Truth be told, the party has been very quite, the races have been very professional so far. There's been one or two incidents that we would not want to remember but overall, the race has been very clean, very professional and the democratic process with in the Jamaica Labour Party is working very well at this point in time and G2K is very impressed by it and will learn a lot from it and we want to continue to contribute in whatever way we can," he declared.
