A 48-year old man, who reportedly engaged members of police party in a shootout, was fatally shot this morning. The dead man has so far been identified by the alias 'Dog'.It is reported that shortly after five Monday morning the police went to York Avenue in Kingston where a dance was being held.It is alleged that the man who was a patron, on seeing the policemen, ran behind the building and was chased by the man allegedly fired a shot at them.The fire was returned and the man was hit.A pistol with nine rounds was reportedly taken from him.He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
