A Cold Front, currently over the southeastern United States, and a Pre-Frontal Trough are expected to affect weather conditions across Jamaica early next week. The Trough is likely to generate cloudy conditions with periods of showers as early as Sunday. The Cold Front is, however, forecast to move over Jamaica and into the central Caribbean on Monday with a 3-4 degrees Celsius fall in temperature. Windy conditions and frequent periods of showers are also likely mainly over northern parishes. Fisher and other marine interest should also expect choppy seas with the passage of the front. The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the progress of this system.
