The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has declared that it will be filing legal action in the courts today to seek to oust People's National Party (PNP) South Central St Catherine MP Sharon Hay Webster because she has dual nationality. Hay Webster has admitted that she was born in the United States. Already, the court has ousted four JLP MP because there were found to hold dual nationality at the time of their nomination in 2007. At a press conference this morning, JLP general secretary Aundre Franlklin says the application is being filed in the Supreme Court.
