After two straight weeks of gas price increases the state-owned oil refinery Petrojam has announced marginal reduction come tomorrow. Petrojam says a litre of E-10 87 and E-10 90 gasoline will both go down by 25 cents. It will now cost $85.54 to buy a litre of E-10 87 gasoline, while E-10 90 moves down to $87.19. Petrojam says the downward movement in prices is influenced by changes to the US Gulf Reference Prices. The price of automotive diesel oil goes down by 10 cents per litre to sell for $86.49 cents. But a litre of kerosene will go up by 27 cents to sell for $88.20, while the price of cooking gas will go up by as much as 38 cents. As is customary, retailers will add their mark ups to the announced prices.
