Haiti's electoral authorities have agreed to delay publication of final results from last month's presidential elections. The Sunday evening decision follows a request from the Organisation of American States (OAS) for a review of the vote by a panel of international experts. Results had been due to be officially announced on Monday.OAS Chief Jose Miguel Insulza asked President Rene Preval to seek the delay after incidents of alleged fraud in the November 28th vote.Electoral authorities said late on Sunday that they would delay publication while a panel probes further into the poll. However, the panel has yet to be formed and local politicians are concerned that the OAS probe might not deliver on a result until the new year. The election initially put forward former First Lady Mirlande Manigat and ruling party candidate Jude Celestin for a run-off vote in January.
