Twenty-four-year-old Keifa Ogilvie, the son of popular West Kingston businessman, Justin Ogilvie, was denied bail when he appeared in Court, on Wednesday morning. Mr. Ogilvie was charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.He was charged on December 14, last year, by the Kingston Central Police.Ogilvie was nabbed on December 11, after he was held in possession of a Taurus pistol, and 26 rounds of ammunition.Reports are that Mr. Ogilvie was driving a motorcycle in downtown Kingston, when he was signalled by the police to stop.He reportedly disobeyed. Policemen chased a fleeing Mr. Ogilvie, and he was later intercepted near South Camp Road.He was searched, and the Taurus pistol and ammunition were allegedly found in his possession. Attorney, Christian Finson, who's representing Mr. Ogilvie, says the investigating officer indicated to the Judge that his client was already on bail, and as a result objected to his release.Mr. Ogilvie was granted bail on an unrelated matter.He is charged jointly with reputed Klansman gang member, Tesha Miller, for assaulting a policeman while in custody, during last year's State of Emergency.Mr. Ogilvie is booked to return to Court on January 31.
