The Supreme Court sent bailiffs to seize assets at the Liquidator for Cash Plus on Thursday. The assets are being seized on behalf of a company that sued Cash Plus for outstanding monies. The order came from Supreme Court Justice Marva McDonald. In the order the bailiff had to seize assets for sale to cover $10 million in expenses Cash Plus owes for storage cost at a New Kingston location between April 1, 2008 and September 30, 2009.The claimant listed on the court document was the Premier League Clubs Association which filed the claim through a company called Catalysta Limited, the documents were filed on January 12, 2011.But when the bailiff came to carry out the court's order they were initially stopped by the liquidator, Hugh Wildman.Mr. Wildman in stopping the order contends that no asset in his office belongs to Cash Plus and therefore none could be seized to meet payment on behalf of the collapsed investment scheme. But after the bailiff went away to get more information they returned saying they were instructed to take the goods and so under the watchful eye of the police, chairs, computers and other assets were seized.Mr. Wildman later said he would pursue the matter after but that did not matter to the men.
