A 58-year-old man, who is accused of sexually molesting a nine-year-old girl, was released on bond yesterday, when he appeared before the May Pen Criminal Court. The man, who is facing multiple counts of carnal abuse, was offered 200-thousand dollars bail, following an application by his attorney, Peter Champagnie.The man was charged on January 27, after the plight of the child was brought to the attention of the Clarendon police.It's reported that the child went to live with the man and his wife in Longville, Clarendon, two years ago.However, during the period, it's alleged that he sexually molested the nine-year-old.The man and his attorney have denied the allegations.The accused is scheduled to return to court on March 17.
