Deputy Solicitor-General Lackston Robinson is denying claims made during Thursday's sitting of the Manatt/Dudus Commission of Enquiry that he has been absent from work since last week Friday.Mr. Robinson was expected to give testimony this week, however Thursday Commission Chairman, Emil George, said he could not be located.However, Mr. Robinson contacted our news centre Thursday night and claimed that except for Tuesday and Wednesday he was at work.Mr. Robinson says last Saturday he received a telephone call from Secretary to the Manatt Commission, Dr. Allan Kirton, who advised him that he would be needed at the Enquiry on Wednesday.Mr. Robinson says he told Dr. Kirton he had not been served with the summons.The Deputy Solicitor-General says he was told he would be served on Monday of this week however, he was at work all day and never received the document.He says on Tuesday he received a telephone call from his secretary that she had seen the summons on her desk.The Deputy Solicitor-General said he contacted his attorney to advise him that he had been served.Mr. Robinson says a statement is being prepared and will be submitted to the Commission.
