Another member of the police force is in custody facing criminal charges.The policeman, a 46-year old Detective Sergeant attached to the Flying Squad, is facing charges of carnal abuse.He allegedly had sexual relations with a 14-year old girl.The Detective Sergeant was arrested last Thursday while trying to board a flight at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.It is reported that over an unspecified period he had sex with the minor.Members of the girl's family reported the matter to the authorities after a photo of the policeman was found in her possession.The policeman was questioned in the presence of his attorney, Peter Champagnie on Wednesday.A file is to be submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions for a ruling.
