A police constable attached to the St. Catherine North Police has been arrested after he was caught smuggling contraband inclusive of ganja into a cell at the Spanish Town Lock up. It is reported that a senior officer spotted the constable with a suspicious package close to the cell; he asked that the man be searched after which ganja and other contraband were found on his person, he was arrested pending further investigations. This latest incident comes right on the heels of 5 constables from the same division being arrested and taken off front line duty for allegedly gang raping an exotic dancer on Wednesday night.
