Police investigators probing the hoax that led to the suspension of air cargo from Jamaica have arrested a man in connection with the incident. The police high command says the man is to be interviewed by detectives today. The transportation of air cargo from Jamaica was imposed on Sunday night after the United States Transport Security Administration (TSA) raised alarm that there was a threat. Two days later the transport minister Mike Henry told Parliament that a preliminary probe by the National Intelligence Bureau indicated that the threat was fabricated. The culprit is alleged to have been trying to discredit a worker at a concession stand at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston. The incident resulted in a delegation of the US Transport Security Administration visiting the island to assess the security systems. The suspension of cargo operations from Jamaica to the US, Bahamas and Canada has since been lifted.
