Four people are dead and three others including a Jamaica Defence Force Solider injured following a flare-up of violence in Wilton Gardens popularly known as Rema.
Three illegal guns have been seized by the police and military were combing the area for the gunmen behind the violence.
A number of men were detained in a major operation that was carried out in the area.
Two injured women and the JDF have been taken to hospital for treatment.
