Hopeton was a GREAT guy. As a close friend of Karl Mullings; Hopeton accepted me into his life. We had some times together both in Montego Bay...when he still ran his music shop there beside his home...and also up in Toronto on several occaisions. He used to sell my mixed tapes in MoBAy.
I recall one night at an old place in T.O. called De Jamaica Restaurant Hopeton sat in with friends while I played on a set about 10 times too big for the shop.
Next day the next door shop owners came in and EVERYTHING in their astore was laying on the fllor.
Nuff bass.
