Yuri in reality TV world Black women no longer corner the market on bad behavior (or at least being portrayed that way is not limited to them), all the other shows have their white/italian and any other race acting the same way, its par the course now. That being said if you are not a fan of the genre then yes you probably wouldn't like this one either.

Never said they DID corner the market on bad behavior.

I'd never expect one person or group to be the responsible representative for a group/culture/race. None of us, or, no reasonable person expects that. But the sad fact is, too many peeps believe what they see.

But <span style="font-style: italic">far</span> from that, just saddens me to see 'us' portrayed like this on television. Repeatedly. Am not naive - I don't expect it to change, anytime soon. It's just sad sometimes.

But I'm a woman of color - so, sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes, content <span style="font-style: italic">(be it music, tv, scholarly, legal, politics</span>) that features people of color prominently, tends to grab my attn in a different way than it does when I see something like, 'jackass' or 'the bachelor' 'seinfeld', 'big brother' or a 'real world', for example.

Well we know why she with him, him is a big time producer/manager and she obviously thought as his wife he would see her to the top, but I guess not. One of the comments said she just vex with herself that she been sleeping with him so long and and still don't have a career to show for it...i would be vexed too..

I not sure which of the sisters is really in that pic, dem all sort of resemble...

I'm half way through the 1st episode. I DVRed them last night.

I must be desensitized because those are typical Atlanta hairstyles. At least it's human hair; I was expecting to see synthetic based on your shiny description. Some of them have weaves and the assistant sister appears to have infusion.

The mother has the worst looking weave because none of her natural hair is out. Toni appeared to wear a lace front wig for the concert and it was indeed awful. I think the sister who is mad because she got left out when she got pregnant is wearing a regular discount beauty store wig with no stocking cap.

The other sisters can pass though. At least some scalp is visible.

I saw that pic and the back view a few years ago. It looks very much like Toni but not exactly so I figured it must have been one of her sisters. After looking at all of them, I'm not sure which one I'd say it was. Quite frankly, Toni doesn't look exactly like I thought she did in the face.

If she is not one of the sisters, then she's a cousin or a half-sister.
