Serani brings Alozade on stage. He is a longtime favorite of mine since the 90's. I was surprised that I did not recognize him at first.






So the concert wrapped up after Serani's dive into the crowd. What a scene!

I am pleased to say that this year's parade was nothing short of a success. The naysayers have been quieted. I have no official turnout numbers but I am sure it was up to par. There were no casualties, fatalities, skirmishes. It was a relaxing, fun, family affair, as it was intended to be by the original founders. The parade is the oldest of it's kind in North America, and I am certain that it will grow to be an even larger event and will include more nationalities, as even though we are our celebrating West Indian heritage we are still Americans.

Oh, and of course Jamaicans dominated the event. How we so nuff?
