The show left themselves an opening with Jimmy so he might come back. It's a shame that just when he decided to get his life together, everything caught up to him. If he is dead, I like the way the show handled it. Nobody - even his loved ones - will wonder where he is until it's too late to start looking. He was a bit soft, but I still admired how he stepped in to look after the family that wasn't his - bless his heart.
