Interesting take on Juan Pablo.

Juan Pablo has never dated a white woman in his life. So you’re telling me you’re going to cast a lead, where English is not even his first language, on a dating show that’s about as “white” as you can get (and English speaking to boot), and the lead has trouble speaking the language and has never dated a white woman in his life? And you expect us to believe he was sincere going in on finding a wife and stepmother? Really? When it’s all said and done, I think you’re going to hear a lot of things come out about this season, whether it be on my site, or in the tabloids, or coming from some of his girls Twitter and Instagram accounts, that presents overwhelming evidence to the fact that this guy could give two ____ about the show, wasn’t really in to any of them, was never interested in finding a wife, English being his second language was kind of a problem, and he was strictly out to have a good time and promote himself.

Make no mistake about this season, and you can choose to believe me or not – this was a complete cash grab for Juan Pablo. He never had any interest in finding a wife on this show, or a step mother for Camila, or whatever else line of BS ABC will run at you all season. This guy wants to act, he wants to be in commercials, he wants to model, and he wants to be on “Dancing with the Stars.” Come the spring season, you can pretty much bet your *** that Juan Pablo will be on DWTS, even though he can’t dance a lick. Yes, I’m sure other Bachelor’s in the past went on the show in hopes to promote themselves and their brand, we’d be naive to think they didn’t. However, with Juan Pablo that’s all this was about. And if you think 26 women were left heartbroken leaving this show, think again. From everything I’ve heard about this season, basically none of these girls were into him at all. The hot, Latin Bachelor with the sexy accent lasted all of about the end of the cocktail party on night one.

Okay here is what happened:

Anyway, the group date is taking these adorable circular bamboo boats out onto the water -- but they have to pair up and -- wouldn't you know it! -- Clare gets Juan Pablo. Why? Because nobody partnered up with her because nobody likes her very much. Now that she's paddling around with JP they like her even less.

And then stupid JP starts kissing her in their boat. Again, with the barn-door-horse-kissing problem. Guess Clare doesn't count because he has already kissed her? But it's kind of rude to do it in front of the other women. Andi's ready to throw down, y'all, while Chelsie hilariously says, "I've had a really great date today, but thanks to Clare, my date has been with Alli. Juan Pablo's been, like, around my date, but me and Alli have had a really romantic morning." Tee hee.

As the girls continue to make fun of Clare, Juan Pablo takes her to his suite and they go swimming. Wow, dude. This really is like you have eight other people tagging along on your solo date with Clare.

Sharleen takes her alone time, once they can finally wrench Juan Pablo away from Clare's mouth, and says in an interview that she wants JP to see her as "the panda in a room full of brown bears," which might be our favorite analogy ever used on this show. We would never think to describe the group of women as "brown bears." Heh.

Cut to an interview with doubting Andi, who does not curry favor when she says, "I mean, literally it is gut-wrenching at times to see these girls have one-on-one time with Juan Pablo." Nope, sorry. Your guts are not literally being wrenched from your body.

Also, it must not be too gut-wrenching because you immediately go down to the beach and suck face with JP, Andi. Is she one of the six? What's happening here? Did JP just add another horse to the stable?

At the end of the night, Clare gets the rose. Surprise, surprise. The girls are not pleased and Andi is livid. If there wasn't a no-hitting rule, she would totally punch Clare.

Speaking of Clare, she sneaks back up to his suite that night and they go for a 4 a.m. swim in the ocean. She says in an interview that they just "went for it" and that it was "pure bliss in every way," then she compares herself to a baby giraffe with wobbly legs. Did they have sex? Clare is certainly alluding to some sexy time, even if that's not precisely what happened.

In a very telling toast to kick off the party, Clare says, "Cheers to finding love, being loved and making love." They totally did it, you guys.

But before we can revisit that, Juan Pablo kisses Renee for the first time and she freaks, squealing and spinning around in a circle -- though she does that privately, thank goodness. Also, that's seven, JP.

Then we get the JP-Clare showdown they've been teasing. He says he feels like it was unfair to the other girls, but "what happened, happened." This weirdly makes Clare cry. He's just saying that they shouldn't have gone sneaking off behind the other girls' backs. Clare says it's not about being fair, it's about your heart. This part of the conversation does not set off any red flags for us.

However.

JP then gets to the real problem, which is that he has a daughter and he's regretting what happened with them in the ocean: "I don't want her to see what happened. If she sees it, I don't think it'll be that nice."

Clare starts crying and says she never meant to disrespect his daughter and this conversation smacks of them having had sex and now he regrets it. The fact that he's regretting it is embarrassing for Clare because now she feels like a big ol' slut on TV (not that we at all think she's a slut or behaved sluttily, just that it seems like she thinks that).

Clare affirms that feeling for us when she talking-heads that she thought Juan Pablo was "on board" with everything that happened in the ocean. Yeah, this is pretty sucky for Clare. It seems as though JP felt like he needed to do some damage control after their ocean sexy time and it is hurting her feelings and making her feel rejected and ashamed, which she has no reason to feel.

JP is foisting his feelings of guilt about the fact that he's canoodling with all these women and he has a young daughter at home onto Clare. And that is NOT on her, that is his deal and it's gross to have that heaped onto her.

If his only point had been that they shouldn't have had special private time because it wasn't fair to the other girls and let's not do that again because it's not right -- that would've been fine. That is totally valid. But it wasn't about that at all.

Clare nails it when she says if Juan Pablo didn't think it was right to go off into the ocean together, he should have said as much and she would've respected that. Yep. He's having buyer's remorse and he's making you miserable as a punishment, Clare-bear. Yuck.

Meanwhile, Andi is rankled because Clare already has a rose and got to spend the most time with JP during the cocktail party. Oh, sweetie, if you only knew. Also, stop being crazy.

Serve her right. Flippin... slut.

here she is, resplendent in a red sundress, embracing her tank-topped Bachelor under the St. Lucian sun. They stroll through a village hand in hand, and make God-awful "music" with the world's most annoying instrument, the steel drum. (Don't believe me? Try being trapped on a crowded subway platform with this guy.) Next Juan Pablo peer pressures some kids at the Dennery Seafood Fiesta into drinking some free juice -- Boys! Didn't your mother ever tell you never to take citrus products from strangers? -- and before you know it, he and Andi and the kids are all playing a pick-up game of soccer in the sand.If that's not picturesque enough for you, Juan Pabs then drives Andi to the jungle for a waterside picnic at Latille Falls. Over a snack of fresh fruit, the Bachelor fills Andi in on his "may I have your blessing" conversation with her father, Hy, during the hometown date. "Your dad gave me an answer that was pretty great... 'Let's say your daughter's going out with a GUY that has two other women. Would you tell him it's okay? I think we'll wait until the end -- and if it happens, you give me a call.'" Props to the Bachelor for realizing how awesome Hy's response really was..... but I think we all know Hy's never going to get that call from Juan Pablo. (Thanks, overzealous Team Bachelor promos team!)
Over an outdoor couch dinner, Juan Pablo plans to grill Andi about a statement she made on a previous date. "Last week in Atlanta, Andi told me that she badly wanted to fall in love," he tells us. "Nothing that is forced will work. So I want to see how she feels now." The ADA tells the Bachelor that there's a difference between "wanting it badly" and "forcing it" -- fair enough -- and then returns the volley with a question for him: Does Juan Pablo think Andi would be a good mother? "My honest answer is, I don't know," he says, perhaps a bit too honestly. "That's why I have an overnight tonight with you -- so we can talk about a lot of things." So what are you waiting for, folks? Get thee to the Fantasy Suite! Andi, for one, is ready: "Just feeling this happy and excited and fortunate, like, I couldn't even imagine this in my wildest dreams." They start making out on the couch, and we fade to black...


Morning dawns on Jade Mountain resort, and Juan Pablo is feeling good. "Waking up this morning, I'm so happy about Andi," he says. "We had a great night together. We freakin' talked and laughed for hours. Hours. Like, HOURS... Andi could be the one." Interesting. Counselor, would you like to make a rebuttal? "Waking up this morning, I could not wait to get out of the Fantasy Suite," says Andi grimly, as we watch her stroll down a lonely road in a black sundress of mourning. "The Fantasy Suite turned into a nightmare. I saw a side to him that I didn't really like, and the whole night was just a disaster."

It starts out innocuously enough -- "I saw myself go from having just a crush on you to having genuine feelings for you" -- but ends abruptly, after Andi informs the Bachelor that she had "a lot of thoughts" after the Fantasy Suite, and "I don't want to share those thoughts with you in a video message. I want to share my thoughts with you in person."

Well okay then! Take a seat, Juan Pablo, because you's about to get dumped. Andi coolly but politely explains to the Bachelor that after the Fantasy Suite, "I realized that I wasn't in love with you and that I wasn't going to be," but his response -- "It's good that you tell me how you feel, and if you don't think it's me, that's okay" -- reveals all of the anger bubbling under Andi's calm surface. "It's not okay!" she insists. "I left behind a family and friends and a job, and I missed weddings, I missed things, and I did that all willingly... You saying 'It's okay' comes off to me as you not having feelings." Juan Pablo tries to ascribe his seemingly dismissive choice of words to a language barrier, but now that Andi's had her sight restored, she's not gonna go back to being blind. "You don't know why [I was] nervous about you meeting my family, because all your response is, 'It's okay, it's okay.' Everything's always'It's okay.' I want to die if I have to hear 'It's okay' again. I can't handle it."
As delicious as it is to hear a "lady" finally, finally laying into a Bachelor for being a self-absorbed hunk of muscles and hair gel, Juan Pablo's response -- "What do you want me to do?" -- is, to be fair, very reasonable. This is, after all, week 9. If hearing "It's okay" 100 times per conversation was too much for her, she could have left three countries ago. But maybe she didn't reach the end of her rope until Juan Pabs made some joke about her being in the final 3 "by default" during their time in the Fantasy Suite. "Do I appreciate honesty? Absolutely. Do I think in my opinion you take it too far? Absolutely," says Andi, who clearly isn't buying Juan Pablo's ESL defense ("that word doesn't come out of my mouth ever, because I don't know that word that much"), and his assertion that he merely joked that Andi "barely made it here" does not help matters at all.

Now that the floodgates are open, though, Andi's not even trying to stem the tide of her rage. "Do you have any idea, like, what religion I practice? What my political views are?... Do you have any idea about how I want to raise my kids?" (No, no, and no.) "I've never been with someone who's asked me so little about myself." Okay, Andi, we get it. And I'm sure all of your complaints are valid. But you're way too smart to pretend that all of this is coming as a shock. If you want a pizza, you don't call Baskin Robbins -- and if you want to find a guy with more emotional depth than a salt-shaker, you sure as hell don't call Mike Fleiss. Okay? Okay.

They argue in circles for awhile, until eventually they're both sick of each other's voices, and decide the only thing left to do is take a solemn walk to the Reject Minivan. "She's a lawyer. I'm not going to argue with a lawyer,"

says Juan Pablo. See Andi? At least he knows one thing about you! Once in the van, Andi continues ranting about Juan Pablo's lack of human emotions -- and she's still going as Harrison escorts Clare and Nikki to the now-pointless rose ceremony. The two "ladies" (who, by the way, still refuse to look at each other) are stunned to learn that Andi's gone --

You know what I'm going to say. Who tell her fe fi a man who showed so little interest in her.

Chris Harrison on The Bachelor: 'Essentially, Juan Pablo Was Dumpe

This week, The Bachelor fans can expect double the episodes and more than double the drama, according to host Chris Harrison, who spoke with PEOPLE Wednesday.

Juan Pablo met the families of the four remaining ladies on Monday night's hometown dates edition. Then on Tuesday, the final three travel to St. Lucia for the exotic overnight dates.

Harrison wouldn't describe either experience as "smooth sailing" for our lover with a language barrier.

How does this season compare to others in terms of the final weeks?
The last three weeks were as difficult as we've ever had on this show. Maybe the most difficult. And I don't mean his final choice or how it ends up. I mean this was a rockier road to that final episode than we've ever had. At this point, it's [usually] the bachelor trying to narrow it down to two or three amazing people and then trying to figure out, 'Who fits best in my lifestyle?'

Why do you think that is?
I think he has a tough time letting go, really opening up and giving himself to this process. Yes, it is a television show, and we are creating something entertaining, but it works. You have to believe. Juan Pablo has had a really tough time with that and the women have felt that.

I don't know if it is a cultural difference and a language barrier. He didn't know the show as well as people who have been watching it for 10 years and could just slide easily into that role. I think it made some of them question his motives and if he is here for true love because they are not seeing and hearing it as much as they have in the past.

How jarring was it for him to have Sharleen leave this late in the game?
Essentially, he was dumped. That hurts your ego and confidence. Suddenly all those insecurities – 'Are they all going to leave? Do they really love me? Where is this going?' – come to the surface and make you question everything. He's only human. It rocks the foundation. We've all fallen for that person that didn't fall for us.

He goes all protective father and tries to fix everything. You can see this wall come up. It's very much a defense mechanism to take himself and his own emotions out of it. Later, he gets upset and allows himself to cry. You could see that it did shake his confidence.

Would she have been in the final two and why do you think she left?
I think she was heading that direction. There were still a lot of hurdles to clear – hometowns and overnights – but she was a favorite from the night she got out of the limo. While Juan Pablo does hold the roses, that doesn't mean these women are just doe-eyed followers that do as he says.

Sharleen is an amazingly smart, articulate woman who expects a lot out of a man. She wasn't getting that in her opinion. It happens again next week. One of these woman will question whether this is right for her and if she is getting what she needs out of this relationship.
