Wayne 'Sleng Teng' Smith Dead

Recording artiste Wayne Smith who recorded the number one hit Under Mi Sleng Teng died today in Jamaica of a heart attack.
Sleng Teng was the first fully computerized rhythm in Jamaican music. The rhythm was created by the collaboration between King Jammy and Wayne Smith.
Producer King Jammy says he’s saddened by Wayne’s passing.
Wayne Smith gained popularity for his single Under Mi Sleng Teng released in 1985 from the album Sleng Teng.
He was 48.
