RJR News understands that Jamaican dancehall artiste Fanton Mojah whose real name is Owen Moncrieffe was taken into police custody in London Thursday.
Reports say the London Metropolitan Police conducted a drug raid on a shop in the south London community of Brixton.
The entertainer and a shop worker were then escorted away in separate police cars.
Fantan Mojah reportedly explained that he had gone into the shop to purchase a bottle of water.
He had just completed his UK tour.
