So how did he get his start and how did he hone his style? Though he plays the fool on stage (and he is very good at it and entertaining) certainly he has some brain power evidence by the fact that he has had his own record label and very effectively marketed himself

Okay probably Ansell Collins since it's Skin, Flesh and Bones.

The band was formed around Parks (bass), Sly Dunbar before he started working with Robbie Shakespeare, Radcliffe "Dougie" Bryan on guitar and Ansel Collins on keyboards. Keyboardists Tarzan Nelson and Bobby Kalphat were also frequent contributors.
