Anyone heard any good ones lately? Sorry to say but the last one I reaaaally enjoyed was "Welcome to Jamrock". Mi finally get ahold of Tarrus Riley's album recently and was less than impressed although I did enjoy a couple tunes on it especially that last one bout him baby girl

Anyone listened to Stephen Marley's album?

Any suggestions?

well stephen marley's 'mind control' album was after 'welcome to jamrock' and i enjoyed it;

good album...different topics & musical styles; from roots & dancehall to songs with a hip-hop/r&b feel;

I had always advocated (among friends) that Stephen should have sung on more songs in Melody Makers, so when I heard that he finally had a solo effort coming out I couldn't wait to get it.
I really loved it. My friends thought it was too Hip Hop. I disagreed since I believe, strongly, that Reggae should be moving forward.

What I've realized since is that I actually listened to &quot;Welcome to Jamrock&quot; much, much more.

So I've found myself wondering if maybe &quot;Welcome to Jamrock&quot; might have been much better than &quot;Mind Control,&quot; or maybe just more exciting.

Then again, I might have been anticipating it for too long.

it's no surprise since stephen also did most of the production on 'jamrock'...
he's definitely a great producer

I weas less than thrilled after listening to the Stephen Marley...with the exception of the three songs I already was familiar with there was probably one other song on the album which I enjoyed...the rest of them just didnt do it for me. So disappointing.


Mi finally getting the Collie Buddz...heard lots of tunes from him and decided it's time mi get the full album...a year later


Beres come out with anything new? I see he's touring again. Wha bout Third World? Long time mi nuh hear from dem.3

Skelly I loved the Mind Control Album... few songs mi never feel at first but dem grow on me...
Probably because I got to meet him and Damian on my Birthday that tour



Anyway, I got the new Luciano Album, but mi never like it too much

I will look into a Beres Album... he is coming here on August 3rd

same thing with me...when i first bought the album i was like whoaa!!?!

but the more i listened to it the more i got it...until i loved it

as to Mind Control I guess it's one of those that has to grow on you...

Collie Buddz was good too...dunno why I waited so long to get it.
