Now before you start rolling your eyes - yes another magazine has added a Top 100 list to their enclave, but what sets Rolling Stone apart this month, is that to help them rank the 100 greatest singers of all time (or at least until recording devices enabled us to record and re-experience vocals), they enlisted fellow artists - everyone from Mary J. Blige and Alicia Keys to Billy Joel and James Taylor to not only select, but to write about them. Iconics are on the list (like Elvis Presley at #3, and Willie Nelson at #88) as well as contemporary artists (Christina Aguilera at #58, Mariah Carey at #79, and Mary J. Blige at #100).
