He joined the cadet corps at St. Jago. When he was in school the program was known as the Army and Air Cadet Force. Virtue mentioned in his book there were a several post WWII British and US pilots who lived in Jamaica and who were eager to keep flying and passing on their love of flying to eager students. What a small world Peasie!!
I am about halfway through the book so far. Author has lot of good memories of being what is considered a 'free range' childhood. Brings back memories of summer in the country running all the way down to alligator pond and to top bull savIf you don't fight for what you deserve, you deserve what you get.
