Yes, saw him before the age of computers and trip reports..trying to remember the name of the club...slip my mind...I did make a diary of my visits with accompanying photos, but where do I find those?

We danced all night non-stop....he was a great performer, they don't make them like that anymore.


...and yes, Lagos had a rep then, it is even worse now....dass why dem move dah capital to Abujah.

One of the trips I would love to make is from Mali to Gao and then over the border to Niger and down to Kano.....that must be an amazing place...
I actually know someone living there, a nigerian woman, she used to live here and was married to a colleague of mine.
But it's kind of iffy now around that border area. Al Queda in the Maghreb or whatever, There already have been kidnappings of tourists there.
Only trouble is my son's granny lives down there and am hoping to see her and want her to see him!

Love your zest for travel Marielle...right now, I am not inclined to travel to those far away places...prefer to stay close to &quot;home.&quot;

..and yes, there were numerous reports of kidnappings when I first visited, and more now....went last year with a group and was glad to return home....still waiting on my copy of vid.
