This is an excellent collection of stories about women in ja. I read it to my mum and she was thrilled and amazed that someone had actually written these stories that she could so relate to.

got this book as a farewell present from my colleagues in jamaica in the late 1980s, when i was returning to Canada.
i believe it is the story of the women from the Sistren collecitve. -
