So, who's been using the lending feature??

Looking for some books to read and some of you are into the same kinds of book like myself..or others.

Would be nice if all the Kindlers would list their lendable books so other Kindlers can see what you have and we can all share...

downside to this is, you can only share a book 1 time and you have 2 weeks to read it before it's returned to the lender...

Hmm I haven't heard of this feature but you know my friends with ipads if you download the Kindle app and then have people log into their Amazon account I think? Anyway then they can download all the books you have or choose the ones they want and it remains on your system and theirs.

So with this lending thing, you the lender don't have use of it while its being borrowed?

Seemiyah - I have given family members my amazon account info and they have downloaded all my books...

I have also used the loan feature (since Bizi tell mi bout it)

When the book is loaned you don;t have the use of it... they have 7 days to pick up the book after you send it to them after that they have 14 days to read it - after the 14 days it is automatically returned to your library.

yep - until Amazon start limit how many devices you can have listed on your account - I thought I told you about that already Bizi - caws mi tell yuh say mi give Dre all mi books that way... right now I have about 8 devices weh access mi account an just tek wah book dem want

So Kindle lovers, oonu getting the new Kindle? Not the Fire that is more for iPad people but the Kindle Touch design for the book crowd.

I got the Kindle app on my samsung galaxy.. a week ago I finally bought and read my first read one book on it.. It was a page turner.. I bought two more both light reads.. But not sure if I could read a serious book on it...

I was looking at the kindle fire...but since i want it primarily for e-reading and i hearing that the fire not as good for that as the touch..i may go with the touch. btw, i looking at the pricing and realize that the $99 price is with ads at the bottom of the screen, ...goes away when you pick a book and reading

If you don't have a problem staring at your laptop or LCD monitor screen for hours on end--or if you enjoy reading in low light without an external light source--you'll probably like an LCD screen. However, if you prefer the look of newsprint or if you enjoy reading outside, an e-ink display is your friend.

still can't make up my mind but i'm thinking that i'll go with the cheaper e-reader and wait for the next version of the tablet ....which I may decide that i don't need.

got the touch yesterday, and like it. Downloaded a free amazon book , and on the waiting list for various books from my local library. Seems to be a relatively new thing for my library, so hopefully in the near future they will be able expand the titles and number of digital copies that they have available.

Amazon prime is $80/year and you can only borrow one book a month. didn't get that..not sure that it's worth it
