Grandson of Sigmund, father of psychoanalysis. Extraordinary artist, who never got on the bandwagon with abstract art. He died this week at the age of 88.

His most famous painting, a 1195 nude titled Benefits Supervisor Sleeping, sold for $33.6 million, the largest amount ever paid for a work by a living artist. The painting is affectionately called Fat Sue. It was bought by a Russian businessman.
