Pick your poison, Busta Rhymes: six months in jail or six months of anger management classes and some rapping to kids.
Those were the options presented to the hip-hop star yesterday at Manhattan Criminal Court, where he's charged with kicking a fan in the face and decking his ex-driver.
Rhymes, 34, is said to prefer Judge Tanya Kennedy's offer that would keep him out of jail, on probation and in front of children.
"[Rhymes] will speak to the youth regarding the perils of violence," Kennedy said.
The "This Means War!" rapper, whose real name is Trevor Smith, is facing separate assault raps for beatings he allegedly doled out last month and last August. He is due back in court March 26.
"The court made us an offer and we will consider it," said Scott Leemon, an attorney for the Brooklyn rapper.
Assistant District Attorney Harrison Schweiloch had called Rhymes a "violent predicate felon" and offered him a six-month jail stint, along with orders of protection for both alleged victims.
But Kennedy countered with a deal of three years' probation, six months of anger-management lessons, five days of community service and two weeks of antiviolence lectures before children. The charges would then be dropped in six months.
In August, Rhymes was arrested for stomping on Roberto LeBron after the 19-year-old Bronx man allegedly spit on a car belonging to someone in the rapper's entourage.
Last month, he was busted for allegedly pounding on his former driver, Edward Hatchett, who has said he was trying to collect on 19 days of pay. </div></div>
