i truly am just an amateur at this...but when i was starting out with my reggae collection, one cd on every list on Amazon was Mighty Diamonds Right Time. I have it and love it.

This is a bit off topic but I just “discovered” Ali Farka Toure - an African artist - lovely sound
- apparently his son also plays Vieux Farka Toure

Ali Farka Toure is one of my favourite blues guitarists, as well as one of my fave African performers. I'm sorry he died before I could get to see him in concert.
