Sometimes me gu to a show and when me look round ie look like sey me a de only black person whey neva get de memo.... [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70456-eyebrows.gif[/img]

Lee "Scratch" Perry..when I saw him I was shocked to be amidst an all most entirely non-jamaican crowd...yet there were people in the audience who had travelled from from other states to see im (well at least one couple) [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bubble.gif[/img]

Lady Smith Black Mambazo...memba dem..again I was one of few blacks in the crowd

Public Enemy..me neva see dem..but its my understanding they were losing their black fan base

arjen isaw perry on the directv live concerts & like u said, 1 & 2 black people in the audience...
i started a thread about the concert & it got 0 views...
bunny wailer got shandied, luciano got heckled...
king tubby & peter tosh got murdered...
we jamaicans don't treasure our musical legacy the way we should...

older blues and jazz artists get nuff respect
