It all began at the age of 16; Da'Ville wrote and recorded his first single under the influence of his father. "I voiced the first song for him, my first real recording". Prior to that, the Jamaican born native had been using his natural talent singing at the St. Peter's Clever Church choir and performing at local school functions. Da'Ville enjoyed singing so much that he knew from an early age that music would be at the forefront of his career goals. "I once thought that I would become an accountant or a manager for a large corporation, but music influenced me so much that I felt a sense of satisfaction using it as a medium to express my life experiences. In the end, my music became my greatest influence, passion and joy." After teaming up with former group members of ARP and creating quite a buzz for themselves within the Jamaican reggae arena, Da'Ville decided it was time to go solo in 2001. He signed with Penthouse Records under the management of Donovan Germaine where he recorded hit singles such as: "Love Will Show Me the Way,"Cruzin,"My Ego," and "All My Life," which he recorded with, then label mate, Marcia Griffiths. "All My Life," was nominated for the 2001 Reggae Soca Awards. Since leaving Penthouse Records, Da'Ville has continued to create quite an impressive resume. He has recently released a hot new single titled "Can't get over you," on the Fashozy Records label which is catching everyone's attention. This song definitely has the potential to become a number one hit.
His resume includes other hit singles such as: "Gallis," "This is the Feeling," "Banana," "The one for me," and the latest chart topping hits: "Hey Baby," and "In Heaven." Da'Ville's versatility with music allows him to create cool lovers lyrics while still competing in the fast pace world of dancehall. Performing in front of thousands at the 2003 Sting Reggae Festival, 2004 Reggae Summer fest, in Jamaica, to sharing stage with artiste like Sean Paul, Lady Saw and Beenie Man, Da'Ville has also toured parts of Japan and the U.S.A. He is a great singer with his own lover's lyrics and dancehall style that reaches across a broad musical audience. Da'Ville's unique style definitely commands and has converted a whole platoon of fans. Aside from his vocal abilities, Da'Ville is a great songwriter, composer and producer. He has written most of his songs and has produced several of his singles on the NAP Musiq and Fashozy Record Labels. Da'Ville adds to his credits several music videos and special appearances in television commercials.
Presently, Da'Ville is focusing on the production of his album. "I'm working on some exclusive tracks for my album with special guest artistes such as Lady Saw, Spragga Benz, Vybez Kartel and maybe a few more artistes. I can't just keep making singles for the rest of my career. I want to make an album that reflects my passion for music. I have many fans out there that want to hear a compilation of Da'Ville and at the end of the day I would like to please my fans. Music is my life, and I am addicted to it. I guess you can say I'm addicted to love, life and music". There is definitely love in this marketplace for Da'Ville and his music. With a fast growing fan base both locally and internationally, people sure will take notice of this young man when he releases his solo album; an ambitious project in the making; which he contends will make a significant impact on the music world.
