Election date forces change to Curefest
Wednesday, July 11, 2007
Due to the impending general elections on Monday, August 27, the Curefest celebratory showcase marking the release of artiste Jah Cure from prison will not take place August 24-26 as scheduled.
The weekend event has been rescheduled, organisers say, to facilitate fans and supporters of the artiste in exercising their franchise.
The new dates for Curefest are Friday, October 12 - Sunday, October 14. Curefest, the 3-day event celebrating Jah Cure's freedom, is presented by Danger Promotions, Iyah Cure Promotions and Brass Gate Promotions, will be held at The Ruins At The Falls and James Bond Beach.
On Friday, October 12, Reflection, an all-inclusive, all-white tribute dinner event hosted by Danger Zone Records will be held at The Ruins At The Falls in the heart of Ocho Rios, while Saturday, October 13, 45 Cure's and Sunday October 14, Longing For will be held at the popular James Bond Beach in Oracabessa, St Mary.
