A British judge has dismissed a lawsuit in which a member of Bob Marley's band sought royalty payments from the late reggae legend's estate.
Bass player Aston Barrett had sued the singer's estate on behalf of himself and his late brother, drummer Carlton Barrett, for more than $125 million
A bass player claimed that Bob Marley, pictured in 1979, promised members of his band equal shares of the royalties from his albums.

The brothers recorded with Marley as members of his backup band, the Wailers, from 1969 until his death 12 years later.
Barrett claimed the singer promised the band members equal shares of the royalties from albums including Natty Dread, Rastaman Vibration and Babylon by Bus.
Marley died without having written a will.
In his ruling Monday, Judge Kim Lewison agreed with the Marley family and Island-Universal Records, who claimed Barrett had surrendered his rights to further royalties when he accepted a cash settlement of several hundred thousand dollars in 1994

Well I think this ruling was unfair. These guys worked REALLY hard and I do think they deserve more than just several hundred thousand dollar for their contribution. It's really unfair.
How is he doing by the way? I realize his brother died before this lawsuit was settled.
