But I'm recalling when I first saw her prolly 15 years ago I thought she was older than me...

btw, have you heard about the new tv series 'Da Kink In My Hair'? I think she's supposed to be in it... I don't know what channel it's going to be on etc...

But I did hear that it would be TO based and that it would feature Jully Black as well as others from the Caribbean community maybe Jemini (just a guess) and prolly that bald headed chick who was in some other TO based sitcom a few years back that was soooo bad... *shudder*... cyaa memba har name...

I've heard about the new series adapting the play (which I stayed away from). I wish it luck.

I saw D'bi (lawd, mek she neva just stick to Debbie [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img] )in a one-woman play earlier this year or late last year. The play was called Blood.c l a a t. (yeah). She wasn't too bad, and I think she got a Dora Mavor Moore award for it or fi di play cyaan memba.

Ever seen 'Literature Alive' on Book Television (sometimes on Bravo)? It's a half-hour weekly program that spotlights Caribbean writers living in Canada...

She was spotlighted sometime back and [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70374-lipsrsealed.gif[/img]

Oh yeah, they did show a snippet of her one-woman act...

But when she was on Lord Have Mercy she was too over the top. She screamed everything. She couldn't just walk she had to flounce or stomp. She couldn't just make a point she had to emphasise every single word...

But still, that was sometime back... maybe's calmed down down ~lol~
