mi juss pick it up cause mi see seh is a "Ghanian-born Jamaican author" write it......Colin Channer deh pon di bak a big it up but mi read furda dung seh Kwame is di 'programmer for the annual Jamaican Calabash Literary Festival' so him mite be a tad bias... so mi haff way tru it..i muss say dat mi like reading him writing...him have a way wid it an it sound juss like how we talk..fi real...is a love story but a complex one...him a put mi in mind of being on di said level as Margaret wid her books...him not up in har league but him a hole him own....mi wudda type out some a di writing fi bak it up but mi really naw feel dat generous...mi really a feel weak...but mi naw lie....even doah is not a mystery it is a good book...is not di usual rasta singa meet black american an invite har to di island whe she oooh n ahh about being one wid har blackness etc....is a good read so far indeed

so mi finish it...mi like some pawts an mi like sometings but mi cyant seh it all dat an a bag of chips...but den mi is not one fi love stories, aldoh to give it its due is not di usual dreadlocked reggae singa an yankee ooman mekking wikkid love unda di splendiferous moon on di white sand.,..bit more than dat..chap is obviously well conversant wid writing an juss a try a ting fi mek a money

2.5 almost 3 stars....the undercurrents were many an sometimes mi tink too much fi him tie up nicely ....not a bad read really
