Have almost completed reading Jam-american Wayne Espeut's book entitled NO NAME JUST 216-513;
It's a autobiographical, sensational and insructive revelation of life in USA prisons.
Wayne a high school kid and college drop-out resorted to drug-trading in Baltimore, when life became rather hard, He spent seven years in prison, during which time he documented his experience as a warning and advice to old and young people. Horrifying at times, laughable at times, philosophical at times, it's a good read. Available: Lulu.com

CAPTURE AND ARREST;
Everywhere I noticed more police officers ,state troopers and plain clothes officers brandishing weapons. I noticed , at a distance, a state trooper, dressed in his brown uniform and pointing his high-powered rifle at me, waiting on me to make a wrong move.....
LIFE IN PRISON< LOT OF GRAPHIC AND HORRIFYING DETAILS:
The place had a foul mildew, urine , odor....Just looking at it made my skin crawl. .....Prison is a place that when you do not learn quickly to adapt, you can lose your mental stability. In fact , you learn to call upon the hidden , spiritual, mental and physical strength that you had stored all along.....You lose so much so fast, from material possession to family, friends , wives and girlfriends...
CONSTANT INSPECTION AND HARASSMENT

There were three correctional officers that searched our underwear, pants, shirts, socks, shoes, jackets. We were told to open our mouths, lift our arms and cough and squat. This was to make sure that we didn't have any contraband hidden anywhere, from our armpits to between our genitals and up the crack of our asses.....I felt so humiliated that I felt my penis shrink with shame. .....I was told to squat and cough and lift my genitals. There was a particuar officer that stayed wihin close proximity of us. It was almost as if he was literally putting his hands on my genital area and inspecting it. His eyeballs were right at the opening of my [censored] and looking up it. ... I ccould tell by the rest of the inmates' facial expressions , that they too felt humiliated, raped....They (the officers)could see us showering, sitting down and taking a [censored] or standing up to take a [censored]...

BOUTS OF ANGER, BRUTALITY AND HUMOUR
The officer's facial features weren't pleasant to the eyes. From looking at him, you would probably feel that he had been engaged in some of the cruel events at the institution .He was either born looking that way, or had developd his looks from all the cruelty that he did in his lifetime......


.....Just when you you might become accustomed to your neighbours or bunk buddy's noise or habits, they leave to go to another institution, to lock up, to camp, or go home. Then, you have to adjust to a new face, a new personality and new habits. Whoever replaces might be worse than your previous buddy or neighbour. He might irritate for a long time with the little noises he makes, from snoring , hopping on and off his bunk, or consantly going into his locker. He might play his television and radio louder. He might have a gas problem where he farts constantly. It might stink so bad, that you cannot ignore the smell....There is no happy medium in prison.
REDEMPTION AND PHILOSOPHICAL CONCLUSION:
I know one thing, I am not angry, because no one owes me anything. I did the crime and so and so day by day I had to do the tim. For whatever reason why I am still here God only knows. ...I have been blessed to to come home, start my own business, because all the time I was facing (prison) I utilized it constructively and planned. I heve read more books in my confinemen than I have ever read in my entire life. I actually wrote my goals down and read them to myself each and everday, at night, I would visualize to myself accomplishing them. IT"S A GREAT READ!
