It is one of those rare, unexpected collaborations in music that many would probably have to see and hear in order to believe.
International songbird Mariah Carey has had one of her recent singles, Touch My Body, remixed with dancehall star Sizzla Kalonji.
Although the remix did not find both Sizzla and Mariah together in studio, Sizzla says, "It's a nice song with me and Mariah Carey, but I've never done a recording session with me and her in a studio at once."
Adding, "Sometimes we do songs and then they remix them."
Sizzla's smooth sound rides the rhythm as he sings, 'Girl when you're feeling lonely and you need someone to touch you, to squeeze and rub your sexy body, girl I'm here to love you. When you're feeling all excited about something so special, girl I'm most delighted to give you all my loving sentimental,' before he breaks into his signature falsetto, offering a smooth listen for fans.
Sizzla also had a recent collaboration with another international superstar, as he and Lil' Wayne now have a video out for their recent single together dubbed, The Only Reason.
And according to Sizzla, he is very pleased with his added success recently on the international scene.
"Mi feel good 'bout it cause is another stepping stone, another mission accomplished. We all got goals in life that we want to reach and to unite in that way, mi really feel good and I'm gonna work towards more great things," he told THE STAR in an interview.
Sizzla also explained that the song with Lil' Wayne was also recorded separately as he says, "with Lil' Wayne, he did his part and his production team sent it and I got my part done out here (Jamaica) and then we went to the States and got the video done. But that's just because we have different schedules or might be busy, so that's just the way we have to get things done."
Currently, Sizzla says he's taking some time to focus more on his work.
"I'm taking a break right now just trying to get my work done, but still making a lot of songs and doing a lot of recordings, but I just hope to continue doing great work, bussing more artistes and watch the blessing manifest itself, but nothing happens before the time," Sizzla said.
