Why did Judy Mowatt Revert to Christianity?

In an interview on "grooving Radio" WVIP NY 93.5.....she said she heard a tape of Selassie saying he "is a mere mortal a man and a human being should not be seeing as a deity emanating from God"

So she went an accept Jesus Christ as God or As God Son......Did Jesus ever say unequivocally that he is God or God's son?
or was this something people said of Him.
Now Jesus has said you have said that I have said that I am God or something like that but is that Him saying he is God?
Can Anyone find he scripture wherein Jesus said he is God plain and straight?

Now Jesus has referred himself as the Son of Man.....well that begs the question of the authenticity of the virgin birth which should have involve no man.
Of course their are those who will say that Man is capitalise so it really represents Mankind or that there is indeed one scripture in which God refers to himself as a man.

what she may have reverted to is the western interpretation of christianity, complete with a graven image of a "white" christ...
the pull of the white god is very strong within the colonial psyche...complete with the lure of the sky heaven in the afterlife...
she may have never actually been "rastafarian" but merely assuming the trappings for career reasons...who knows

and i maintain that it is merely her interpretation of "christianity" that may have changed...since rastafari is arguably christian in the sense that it recognizes christ in his kingly character...once as the lamb to the slaughter, now as the conquering lion of judah

i can't know what's in her head but i feel the true faith is inborn and can't be adopted...
if a one turns from the faith then a one never truly had the faith to begin with...
even some EOC folks have yielded to the colonial/white-supremacy-racism model...

i don't put my faith into rumors about a man in the last phases of earthly existence...i more look at the life he led...especially when i have heard contradictory stories about the end...
there are certainly no interviews on record of bob marley renouncing his faith---as there are with judy mowatt & some others...
people seem to forget how often jesus the christ is written of in scripture as calling on or consulting with his spiritual father...
even one suggesting he cried out that his father had forsaken him...
so did selassie I constantly consult with his spiritual father as well---in the lineage of the christ from the tribe of judah...so it is the same root just a different fruit...
what has some ones mesmerized is the western version currently in vogue around the globe

Bob was a baptised member of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
The big difference is that The Orthodox Church is not a westernize Christianity with racist colonial overtones.....but an indigenous African Spirituality.....going back to the time before Moses
