Its hard to say cause Religion like Laws are only as good as the people who practice them.

The Religions you mention were made to benefit Man, and so improve his Physical and Spiritual condition, the fact that it ends up only benefiting some is not the entire fault of Religion but more so the Nature of Man, which is that which Religion is changing.

My Point was that Religion was outlawed in the USSR

Some people say Communism is a form of extreme Socialism

The way I see it Communism is a system of governance whilst Socialism is a economic system.
Similarly Democracy is a system of governance whilst Capitalism is an economic system.
Hence China is still Communist but no longer fully practices (extreme) Socialism, like Cuba it is becoming more and more Capitalist.
