A Deeply Superstitious Man

Even by the standards of his age, King James VI of Scotland, later James I of England, stood out as a deeply superstitious man, obsessed with the occult.

Before his reign, witchcraft persecutions had been rare in Britain. But that all changed in 1590 when James personally oversaw the trials by torture for around seventy individuals implicated in the North Berwick Witch Trials, the biggest Scotland had known. Their alleged crime? Raising a storm which nearly sank James’ ship when he sailed home from Norway with his new bride, Anne of Denmark. The trial resulted in possibly dozens of people burned at the stake, although the precise number is unknown.

In 1597, James published Daemonologie, his rebuttal of Reginald Scot’s skeptical work, The Discoverie of Witchcraft, which questioned the very existence of witches. Daemonologie was an alarmist book, presenting the idea of a vast conspiracy of satanic witches threatening to undermine the nation.

In 1604, only one year after James ascended to the English throne, he passed his new Witchcraft Act, which made raising spirits a crime punishable by execution.

The Occult in Popular Imagination

James’ ideas on witchcraft were later popularized by Shakespeare’s play Macbeth, performed for James’s court in 1606. For the first time in history, English drama depicted witches gathering in secret for their own malign scheming. According to Instruments of Darkness by James Sharpe, this terror of supposed witch covens was the driving factor mobilizing 17th century witch hunts.

In 1612, the King’s paranoid fantasy of satanic conspiracy, planted in the minds of local magistrates eager to win his favor, culminated in one of the key manifestations of the Jacobean witch-craze—the trials of the Lancashire Witches, accused of plotting to blow up Lancaster Castle with gunpowder. Eight women and two men were executed.

James’s legacy extends even into our age. The King James Bible, completed in 1611, saw the scriptures rewritten to further the King’s agenda. Exodus 22:18, originally translated as, “Thou must not suffer a poisoner to live,” became “Thou must not suffer a witch to live.”

William Shakespeare lived from 1564-1616. The creation of the King James Bible began in the year 1610, the year in which Shakespeare would have been 46 years old.

If you turn to Psalm 46 in the King James Bible, and if you count exactly 46 words into the psalm, you find the word "shake." If you count 46 words back from the end of that psalm, you will find the word "spear."

It just seems too coincidental to think that it was by fluke circumstances that the 46th Psalm would be translated around the time of Shakespeare's 46th birthday and that the 46th word from the start and the 46th word from the end would be "shake" and "spear." My professional opinion is, Shakespeare translated that section of the King James Bible and he slipped in a secret byline to prove it was his work.

In my view, the translation of the existing biblical texts prior to 1603 into what became the 'King James' Bible in 1611, was a work of social engineering by the English Elite. This was undertaken to coral the masses into mental servitude to Luciferianism/Rosicrucianism. It was a step away from true spirituality, whose tenets presented a clear danger to the establishment then, and as it still does today.

Most foreign language versions of the bible have been derived from the King James Bible; therefore these deliberate falsifications are compounded many-fold.

It is universally agreed that there are a mass of so-called 'translation errors' in the KJV, but what if anything, may be significant about that fact?

In the late 16th century, immediately prior to the KJV becoming the de facto standard bible, Sir John Dee, left,
was an Enochian black magician. Dee and Francis Bacon, the author of 'The New Atlantis' were both instrumental in the production of the KJV. As the Bible itself exhorts us to stay away from occult and witchcraft practices, it is paradoxical that Christians should embrace a work mastered as it was by high-ranking members of the occult.

As well as being Queen Elizabeth's 'spymaster', Sir John Dee was a prominent member of The Worshipful Company of Mercers, which are Masonic Lodges by another name, led by a Worshipful Master. If the Puritans of the 16th and 17th centuries had the power, they would have burned adherents of the KJV at the stake for witchcraft!

Freemasonry was always Luciferian in nature. The first three (blue) degrees of the order up to Master Mason, are absolutely identical to the initial lower orders of witchcraft?

The Worshipful Company of Mercers is responsible for most of our social institutions. Both Gresham College and the Royal Society were derived from this Masonic organization. In turn, these two abominations have given us Luciferian pseudo-science through the gradual creation of a scientific dictatorship which denies the existence of a spiritual and moral dimension.


THE BIBLE

The official KJV scholarship committee completed their work in 1610 and passed the manuscript to King James I (left). The King enlisted Sir Francis Bacon and his cohorts, who kept it in their possession until 1611, when it was published. We may never know exactly what happened in that intervening period.

Many Satanic symbols and Freemasonic motifs were originally placed within the pages of the 1611 KJV Bible. The Rosicrucians believed they were creating symbols which would emanate demonic power. I further believe that Bacon and King James firmly intended to create a Rosicrucian Bible to seduce the English-speaking peoples into the 'mystic Christianity' of Rosicrucianism.

The Masonic handshakes are extremely significant as they provide proof that Bacon and King James conspired to produce a totally Rosicrucian 'handbook'.

ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT TO BE OCCULTIZED

The KJV Bible and the Shakespearean plays (well known to be esoteric masterpieces - but definitely not written by William Shakespeare)
were part of a plan to subvert and 'occultize' culture. Popular religion was to be hijacked through the new 'People's Holy Book' - hence the King James Version of the Bible.

Thus, this two-pronged attack on humanity was meant to propound the Masonic agenda. However, its proponents had a rude awakening. Their new Bible was almost unanimously rejected by the religious hierarchy of the time. It was almost completely reviled and shunned due to the Satanic symbolism, which was instantly recognized for what it was. Indeed Anglican pastors absolutely refused to replace their existing texts with what they regarded to be the work of the Devil.

Eventually, around the year 1650, a 'toned-down' version of the KJV was produced with all overt occult references removed, but nevertheless significant 'translation errors' remain - in abundance.

TRANSLATION ERRORS

For example, the scriptural Hebrew word (which means 'so be it' or 'verily') is 'Amein' and not 'Amen'. Likewise, the Greek equivalent is also 'Amein'. The Egyptians had been worshipping Amen-Ra, the great sun-deity for more than one thousand years BC and before he was known as Amen-Ra, he was known simply as Amen.

Amen was the god of life and procreation in Egyptian mythology and only later identified as 'Amen-Ra'. Smith's Bible Dictionary agrees with this statement. Have we been misled down the centuries to invoke the name of the Egyptian sun god at the end of all Christian prayers?

Indeed almost every page in the KJV has arguably been subtly amended. Then there is also the case of the Bible's 'missing' books. Only a few have been published, such as the Book of Enoch and the Book of Jasher but they are still regarded as missing as they do not appear in the bible.

One inevitably wonders exactly what Sir Francis Bacon knew about these works. The KJV Bible credits King James by stating that this Bible was 'diligently compared and revised by his majesty's special command'.

What was King James' 'special command'? Could it perchance have been Bacon and his 54 secret scholar / translators? We do know that after the first five Books of the Bible (the Pentateuch) that the Bible is no longer written chronologically. It was King James' and his employees who decided that this should be the case. Today, some Bible scholars firmly believe that these important works are missing because their messages did not agree with the prescribed version and thus did not convey Bacon's intended edicts.

The changes made to the KJV turned the Bible into an esoteric rather than a spiritual work representing God's message. Bacon and his co-conspirators, King James, John Dee et al, set out to hijack a sacred work to deceive the masses into passively accepting the tenets of Rosicrucianism and Freemasonry, disguised as the word of God.

The life of James can essentially be divided into two parts with regard to witchcraft. Early in his life and during the beginning of his reign in Scotland he exhibited a strong belief in witchcraft. His beliefs were further amplified when his life was supposedly threatened by a group of witches in North Berwick. These witches were alleged to have conjured a storm for the purpose of murdering the King and his wife while they were traveling home from Denmark. Torture, in this particular case, was used with the King's permission because he believed that his own life was at risk.[5] This event likely spurred James' fervor for witch-hunting, which culminated in his writing the Daemonologie, a short treatise on witchcraft published in 1597. This text was also written in response to skeptics who were writing at the time. During the second part of his life he exhibited shrewdness in his assessment of witchcraft. By the time James ascended the throne in England after the death of Queen Elizabeth I in 1603, he was less concerned with witch-hunting although his reputation remained. His involvement in the case of Anne reveals a more skeptical James. The popular views of witchcraft at both parts of James' life show distinct differences from the Malleus. The definitions James offered in the Daemonologie do not match those written by Kramer. Likewise, the nature of witchcraft seen in the case of Anne exhibited entirely new ideas. Despite its original popularity and influence, the Malleus did not influence James' understanding of witchcraft, even when he firmly believed in it.

KING JAMES I AND HIS OBSESSION WITH THE OCCULT

People lived in fear of a Catholic rebellion and ghoulish goings on in the aftermath of Guy Fawkes' Gunpowder Plot.

King James I had a reputation as an avid witch hunter and wrote a book called Demonology.

Professor Ronald Hutton of the University of Bristol, told the BBC: 'It was a mandate for the British to fight witches.'

People mused witchmarks and relied on other superstitions to protect them at the tumultuous time.

In his book, James l wrote: 'Children, women and liars can be witnesses over high treason against God,' and this influenced the justice system when dealing with people accused of witchcraft.

A nine-year-old beggar called Jennet Device helped convict 10 people of witchcraft in the 1612 Pendle witch trial in Lancashire, which led to their execution.

She even denounced her mother as a witch, who had hosted a party on Good Friday when she should have been in Church. Her sister was accused of killing a pedlar after she cursed him and he collapsed.

As a result of a family feud, most of the family were found guilty of causing death or harm by witchcraft and were hanged at Gallows Hill.

The influence of the ambitious local magistrate, Roger Nowell, who passed the sentence, extended as far as the US, after the clerk of the court, Thomas Potts, penned a best seller about the case, which was used as a reference handbook for magistrates.

The book suggested seeking the testimony of children in trials of witchcraft, and at the notorious Salem witch trials in 1692, most of the evidence was given by children, leading to 19 people being hanged.
