one of the forgotten things about the beagle is that one of its task was to return two civilised natives to the Tierra del Fuego.. they were suppose to convert the natives.. instead they reverted to their pre civilised state.... This was what destroyed Dawins faith in christianity as a veneer. In addition the original forma was as a demontratipn againsst the 19th centuary justification of slavery,, Darwin was a member if the anti slavery society...Comment
