First, I don't wonder at all. If there is one, which one and I am not sure what it, he or she wants, who they are, where they are or whether they care to even be bothered. The Bible is NOT an option as a source of communication either because the god character in there sounds like a schizophrenic nutcase.

isn't the point of life to live it as uprightly as u can...following innate sense of right an wrong...

so wedda u believe r dont believe in a higher being, it is still instrnsically inbued in the averager person to walk an upright line...evil doings r abberations an thereby done by the few

so if we have to say being a this r that is making me do right, well den, u still no find the higher power u looking for...Christianity does not change u...u change ur self to be in line wid di teachings of Christianity...dat is y regualar chaurch going, an shouting n claims of sacnctimonious praying dont mek u changed...

an aeitheis who has no connection to any established religion but lives a life of giving, being compassionate to theneeds of those he r she is in a positin to help etc etc will be at peace as oppose to the supposed ahherents who have long lists of wat n who dem neva tek to because dem neva wan dirty dem halo...Samaritan style...couple like dat deh a read dis forum daily

Nylah, more an more i am appreciately my parents who, while, not going to church every Sunday ,could quote their Bible...why,because at the end of a long day of doing their part in their way, in the secret of dem bedroom dem was refueling fi di nex day wid dem Bible...my closest nayba was a parson who beat him wife, tief him children, neva tawk to any who neva go church n di list goes on...an u ongle haffi see how in dese days the modern church echoes the one Christ came into...the ones of more rigid formalities , money changing an jockeying for a position n title...

there r only Three Titles in the Church...Father , Son n Holy Ghost...

people must memba dat is disciples who made up di oddas to facilitate the spreading of the gospel...but everyone tek dese man made titles as if dem mek dem equal to the original Three wen it come to who hearing di gospel....

this has always been my struggle with the Church. You see ppl who dont call themselves Christian living better spiritual lives than those who parade themselves up and down the aisles every Sunday, and I am to believe God favors their hypocrisy.....it is about choosing to live a good, decent life in the end. And I would have no regret for that no matter who is or isnt their at the end of the line, so to speak.

About whether there was no god?

Not really. My doubts were about whether or not the Bible was completely true and could be trusted, but doubting, I was told, is of the devil, trying to weaken one's faith so I persevered despite logic and reasoning telling me otherwise. As for god (if we mean, by definition, STRICTLY a creator), there may or may not be one out there hence my position as agnostic. I don't claim to know who it is and who or whatever it may be, has not contacted me on his existence. What I do know, however, is that I DO NOT believe in the god of the Jewish or Christian Bible.

Believe it or not, a non-christian led a discussion similar to this question to believers at one time in this very forum. The thought came across my mind the other day, and pondering on it again, I still came to the same conclusion - Like Compray, I would not regret choices, because even without the acknowledgement of a higher power/deity, God, by choosing to make life choices, (forgiveness for unforgiveness, love for hate, joy for sadness, uplifting words for demeaning words, etc.), you are being rewarded with a life that is enriched, in the practical sense.
It seems as if some of us are mostly saying the same thing. At the end of the ‘human’ day, what matters is how true we are to ourselves, and how each of us treat our fellow human being, regardless of race, color or religious affliation, atheists or Christians, how we forgive one another, how we respond to people in our daily lives, how we respond to situations.
And I agree with nylah, I have found that in my experience (which I have stated on here before), I have met non-christians who are at the forefront of choosing to portray these basic qualities than Christians/believers. As I have said before and something that I believe, christians do not necessarily have to do things because the ‘Bible tells me so’; we should do it because we know it is the right thing to do.

However, faith or lack thereof does affect/influence life choices in various ways for people, hence the query. The ‘spiritual’ is where we part company, because each belief system has their 'idea' of humanity’s end.

I wouldnt do anything,and my opinion of gods wouldnt change,simply because I dont believe in them doesnt make me any less of a person than those who say they believe,...in my opinion it`s the so-called believers who should worry,they are the ones who practise intolerance,hypocrisy,and prejudice by their adherence to a book.
